<*dv_1*>When is the symposium?
The symposium will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2006 from 8 AM - 4 PM.

Where is the symposium?
The symposium will be held at the Main Branch of the Akron-Summit County Public Library. The address is 60 South High Street, Akron, Ohio 44326. More information about the library can be found at www.ascpl.lib.oh.us/mainlib.html.

How do I get there and where do I park?
Directions to the library can be found at the library's website: www.ascpl.lib.oh.us. Parking is available for a fee in a garage at the corner of High Street and East Market Street. This parking garage connects directly to the library. Other parking options can be found on the library's website.

What is the focus of the event?
The Ohio & Erie Canalway Association (OECA) has been working on the implementation of the Management Plan and the Communications Plan. We will be unveiling the new website and showcasing the 2006-2007 Canalway Visitors Guide. Information will also be available on the new signage plan, working with the interpretive plan at your site, and a variety of innovative partner projects.

What is the schedule for the event?
The day starts with registration and continental breakfast, followed by an overview and an update of Canalway projects. There will be 2 morning sessions and 2 afternoon sessions, where attendees can select from various topics and panels offered by OECA and its partners. The conference schedule will be posted to the website when it is finalized. Lunch will take place at the John S. Knight Center and will feature a keynote speaker.

Who should attend?
The event is designed for our Canalway partners - administrators, marketing and tourism professionals, interpreters, business owners, park staff and volunteers, museum staff and volunteers, historical society members, planners, elected officials, city and county officials, stakeholders, foundation representatives, and other professionals involved in the Ohio & Erie Canalway.

How can I register?
You can register online with a credit card (see above<*dv_4*>). You can also download a registration form and pay by check, mailing your registration to OECA, Attn: Candace Bates, 15160 Vaughn Road, Brecksville, Ohio 44141. The registration deadline is March 12, 2006. Registration is limited to the first 200 participants.
