|  About CanalWay Ohio and The Ohio & Erie Canal Association <*dv_2*>The Ohio & Erie Canal Association (OECA), as per the designating legislation, manages the Ohio & Erie Canal National Heritage Corridor by developing and implementing a corridor management plan. They also oversee a matching grant program to promote local implementation of the plan. <*dv_1*>The OECA board consists of fifteen members that represent all four counties within the corridor. Five of the members represent the Cuyahoga County corridor organization, the Ohio Canal Corridor, and five represent the Ohio & Erie Canal Corridor Coalition, which represents the southern three counties: Summit Stark and Tuscawaras. Directors of the two primary partner organizations, the Ohio Canal Corridor and the Ohio & Erie Canal Canalway Coalition, along with Cuyahoga Valley National Park staff planner, provide technical assistance to OECA for the management and development of the Ohio & Erie Canal National Heritage Corridor. Cuyahoga Valley National Park Superintendent John P. Debo Jr. serves an ex-officio role on the association board. <*dv_3*>The Executive Committee of the OECA consists of the Chairman, First Vice Chair, Second Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer. The board and support staff are currently implementing the first six-year phase of the plan through OECA committees for Grants, Interpretation, Development, and Linkages and Venues.
